Hearing Aids
If you have difficulty with your hearing contact your GP who will arrange a hearing test for you. If you require a hearing aid you will be lent one or two if appropriate, free of charge. Hearing aid repairs and batteries are also free. Once you have been issued with your hearing aid there are open clinic sessions that you can attend without an appointment if you are having difficulties.
For Chiltern, Wycombe and South Bucks north of the M40 Motorway If you already have a hearing aid that is faulty or not working as well as you would like; you can attend one of the open clinic sessions without an appointment. If the audiologist there feels you require a hearing test they will make another appointment for you that allows for more individual time. If you require more assistance with your hearing aid for example if you are unable to insert it, or if you have associated problems such as tinnitus you may be referred to the Hearing Therapy Department.
